TRAVEL LIGHT AND RIGHT
![]() |
If you thought leaving on a holiday was just about throwing a couple of things into your suitcase, think again. There are definitely certain things to be kept in mind in order to have a great and enjoyable holiday. Her is a man’s guide on what to do, take along and leave behind.
Basic grooming
Whichever way you choose to travel, you need to prepare yourself well in advance to face the elements.
Flying: flying for long hours dehydrate the skin. So, prepare your body for the journey at least a week in advance. Drink plenty of fluids before and during a flight to increase the water and moisture levels in your body. Start a skin care regime to nourish the skin. The nightly use of a good moisturizer ensures that your skin stays soft, supple and well nourished.
Road: a road journey leads to exposure to dust and pollutants. Use a face pack twice before you leave to ensure clean pores. Once you arrive at your destination, wash your face with a mild cleanser. You can also use a good astringent and toner.
Sea: if you are travelling by sea, you must realize that you are exposing yourself to long hours in the sun and a lot of salt air. Make sure you constantly wash your face with water to allow your skin to retain moisture. Also use a good sunblock or anti-tan lotion.
Train: a long train journey leads to fatigue, which shows up on your skin. To revitalize your skin you can use H20 Transactive Hydrating Face Gel- an oil free cream that gives your skin glow.
Wardrobe planning
If you are one of those who let your wives/girlfriends/mothers/partners do your packing, we suggest you take over. Plan your wardrobe keeping three things in mind: the place you are going to, the weather and what you plan to do once you get there.
