The bug called casual dressing!
![]() |
Potato duds, urban street wear, weekend warrior, geek chic – these are some of the terms given to Friday dressers who don’t mind being their flaunting their off-beat clothing as long as it helps them define their true self. So pick your casual style tips to make you sure you look your comfy best.
• A casual wardrobe needs to be built just like you build your formal gear. Choose cohesive pieces built around basic styles. The colors that need to have a presence in your collection are khaki, denim, red, black and white.
• Nothing kills a sporty look more than a pair of white running shoes. The stores are full of chic colors and fabrics such as the suedue boots and sandals. Wear them and you’ll never regret your choice.
• One should never think that ‘casualness’ calls for being unkempt as well. Certainly not! Casual clothes should indeed be in tip-top shape, i.e. neatly mended and ironed.
• Never even think of mixing diamonds with sweatshirts unless you are a rapper.
• Use sporty watches, bags and accessories to add to the casual flavor. Tote bags in different cloth fabrics looks cool and so does the wrist bands. Braided belts also look good.
• Completely avoid clichés like baggy sweats and leggings. They make you look as if you are still stuck in the 80’s.
• While nothing beats the jeans in casual line, one should make sure you don’t wear those stone-washed styles unless you have the audacity to carry the odd.
The liberty of wearing casually is what modern day times have gifted its generation with. This casual revolution has eaten the youngsters today like a bug and has found wide acceptance even in the fashion world and the office environs. Thus the markets are today swarming with gears that all set to pacify your ‘casual’ bug. The world is finally on a roll.
