Accessories have the power to make or break an outfit. They also have the power to make you look downright tacky and gaudy. When planning to attend a formal event, men should always keep their accessories simple and low-key, but still elegant. Here are some tips about the accessories from head-to-toe.

PIERCINGS- Unless you are going to a rock and roll awards show or heading for the discotheque, you might want to keep the visible piercings to a minimum. Earrings are astonishingly acceptable in a formal setting, and removing them will only draw attention if people notice their absence. Instead of getting rid of them altogether, switch to something low-key and elegant If you have pierced your ears, stick to a small diamond stud or a small hoop. You can also go for simple silver or black or something that matches what you’re wearing.

TIE- A tie is usually a prerequisite for a formal event. Wear something that is toned-down but with some personality. You’re going to want to opt for a classic, simple color that matches your suit. Avoid loud ties with bright and intense colors. Try to leave your Donald Duck tie at home. However, if you simply cannot wear a tie, keep your suit coat on or you will end up portraying a look that is too casual. Wearing a bow tie is not a compulsion.

PINS- If you are wearing a tie, a sedate pin can be a nice touch. It can help you to express your personal style. There are all sorts of different pins available in the market. Remember to match it with the tie!

NECKLACES- That hemp necklace you love to wear might be downright sexy at the beach, but it will be out-and-out tacky at a formal do. For a more sophisticated look, leave it at home .Also avoid flashy, large pendants. Remember -do not wear any necklace with a tie (for obvious reasons).

CUFF LINKS- Cuff links are another alternative to consider. It provides you an opportunity to express yourself beyond your suit or tux. But in order to pull off a polished ensemble, stay away from oversized novelty ones. Make sure to wear stylish cufflinks that match the color of the rest of your accessories.

BELT- You require a belt, mostly to keep your pants up. Unless you take off your jacket, most people will not notice your belt. Stick to brown or black, and remember not to wear a flashy belt buckle.

WATCH- A watch is always classy; but not your sports watch, please! Wear a nice watch- something leather or metallic. Avoid plastic or cheap-looking wrist bands at all costs.

BRACELET- A chain link gold, silver, or titanium bracelet will compliment your look. But don’t go too far with the jewelry.

Men’s accessories for formal wear are meant to be simple and elegant, not gaudy or flashy. If you keep these simple things in mind, no one can stop you from making a memorable first impression that is both stylish and chic.

Permanent body piercing is performed by creating an opening in the body with a sharp object through the area to be pierced. This is usually done by cutting an opening, using a needle or scalpel, by removing tissue, or by a dermal punch. Sometimes a piercing gun is also used but its use is restricted to the earlobe piercing only. In each case practice of proper hygiene and sterilization is the watchword. Surgical stainless steel and titanium are ideal materials for initial jewelry to be used in a fresh piercing.

There is a checklist for you before you go in for the body piercing:

1. The area that has been chosen for piercing should be well cleaned with a good quality germicidal soap.
2. After cleaning the area make sure that the needle going to be used is properly cleaned and sterilized.
3. After piercing the piece of jewelry (properly sterilized) should be attached.
4. Always ensure that after piercing the needle is disposed of in a special sharp container so that there is no risk of the needle or blood touching someone else.
5. Maintain proper cleanliness in the pierced area.
6. The jewelry should be properly adjusted and checked by the person performing the piercing job.

Depending on the body part, time of healing can vary anywhere from a few weeks to more than a year. After getting a piercing, good care should be taken afterwards, don’t pick or tug at it, keep the area clean with soap, and don’t touch it without washing the hands first. Never use hydrogen peroxide because it can break down newly formed tissue. In case of mouth piercing, use of antibacterial mouthwash after eating is advisable.

When the piercing has fully healed, the initial jewelry may be changed or removed for short periods. Removal of piercing is very simple. Remove the jewelry making sure not to pull or irritate the pierced area. Once removed the piercing should heal.

Tattooing is more than just a popular trend. Over the past 50 years, tattoos have increased in its popularity. Be it professionals, athletes, or rock stars, men love to sport a tattoo.
Why tattoos?
Some guys get tattooed to carry any idea, to highlight anything which influenced them, or just for the sake of it being in fashion. Others get ink pumped into their body pores just to show off pride. People would not mind the agony of piercing through their body parts to get their tattoos done.
Which one to choose from?
When it comes to choosing a tattoo, there are broadly five types of tattoos- abstractions, naturalistic, pledge tattoos, simplifications and tattoos with complex structures.
Abstractions:   These are derived from primitive styles of tattooing. They don’t consist of much artwork. They are often made with black ink and classic grey shade.
Abstraction tattoos around the navel, chest, and calves seem to be all the rage among younger men. Older men tend to get abstraction tattoos on their shoulders, arms and upper back.
Naturalistic:  Tattoos looking realistic are called as naturalistic. They involve a lot of detail in an attempt to create the realistic look.  Naturalistic tattoos are more costly since they require minute detailing and hence more time to create.
Pledge tattoos:   Pledges are often found in traditional western tattooing. These include the popular heart and name banner style tattoos.
Simplifications:  Simplifications are also referred to as stylized tattoos and they appear in all shapes, sizes and styles. A simplification can be an action figurine, or one of those standard pictures you’ll find on the wall of most tattoo shops, such as a tiger or a flower.
Complex tattoos: Complex structures, also called combinations, include traditional Japanese body suits, most half-sleeves, and jumbles of unrelated images with no connecting theme or fill work.
