Minimize your visit to the salon
![]() |
The past weekend you took out time from your schedule to get a trim. Now, you want to get another haircut! But why? Is it the time for another haircut? Look at your hairline first and confirm why you want to get regular trims. Here are some steps you should follow to minimize your visits to the salon.
Look at your neckline: One of the obvious reasons why you need a trim is the messy hairline on the back of your neck. Keep your neckline neat. If you maintain this, you won’t have to visit the salon for several weeks.
Clean your neckline: Use non-professional version of electric clippers to clean up the hair on the back of your neck. You can trim hair using the hair length attachment, which gently shortens the straggling hairs and makes a neater line. Make sure you don’t shave the hairline itself. Trim the hairline once in every six weeks.
Clean up the sideburns: Buy a pair of scissors along with the electric clipper. Stand in front of the wall mirror with your scissors in one hand and a small comb on the other. Before cleaning the sideburns, comb each sideburn towards the back of your head and ears and then forward. Keep the scissors facing up towards the sideburn at a 45 degree angle. Chop the irregular sideburns. Cut only one or two hairs each time until you have cleaned up the entire sideburn. Your sideburns should be trimmed once a week.
After doing the above two simple steps, I am sure you won’t have to go trims regularly.
