The sensation of pain depends on the part of your body in which the tattoo is being worked on. This also depends upon the types of needles used. Some needles are found to spite more than others. The needles used for outlining are found to produce a sharper cut.
So to reduce the feeling of pain, it is recommended not to take aspirin or alcohol before a tattoo session as they thin your blood which can cause excessive bleeding.
Why do you want a tattoo?
The answer to this question is different for different people. A tattoo may be done to gratify your partner; to let somebody see that you belong to a group that has tattoos; to relate to a particular subculture; to show your uniqueness and individuality. These all are very obvious and valid reasons for tattooing.
However, you should remember that tattoo is a permanent mark on your body. The web of vines on your wrist may look really lovely now, as you are a free-spirited collegiate. But, what if you have to work in a very conservative field after your graduation? Will others stare at your tattoo in a weird way? Will you have to hide it with long sleeve shirts? Well, the questions are still left to be answered…
