Now this I must say is not an easy catch. Dressing up for a formal date can be fun as long as you know how to fix everything at the right place and being at your best in deciding what will suit your for the occasion to make the perfect impression. However, the lack of same can put you in deep embarrassment and I’m sorry to say dwindle your chances of reaching to the lady’s heart with the grace, you have been dreaming about.So here are some tips telling you that a dinner date need not be too rigid all the time or follow the convention like people do. Simply speaking, your choice of location and personality can dictate the terms of the manner of socializing that evening.
If you are a wise gentleman, you’ll make sure you have visited the place before to ensure that it is formal-enough a place to be patronized for an occasion like this. I am not frightening you but a disaster can occur when you see that the menu overpriced the atmosphere too stifled or too loud or the drink is more than mediocre. So in order to avoid all of this, make sure the restaurant you visit is tastefully lit and has an attractive décor, not to mention a supple menu priced within your budget
Well, so much for the preparations. Now let’s come to the point.
The biggest mistake made by most men while going in for a formal date is wearing a full suit. Only if you were not aware of this, let me tell you that women often find this intensely intimidating. While it is also not polite to underdress when going for a dinner with a lady who in return will be donning some of her best clothes and accessories, it is better to take the middle path as follows:
The most recommended attire for the occasion would be a dark indigo dress jean, complimented by a fitted, bold striped shirt, coupled with a well tailored blazer of any material. The shade of the blazer could be anything matching the jeans, the shoes, shirt, and the belt. You can also wear a jacket which you can remove if the ambience is warmer.
Pay attention to minute details such as matching the shade of the belt and your shoes and the like. This is because paying attention to details is what adds on to your evaluation as a person of class and immense of style.
