Grooming has become a priority for men. Looking your best isn’t only for the ladies nowadays. It has become as important for the men also.
These days men make visits to salons to get spruced up. The main reason to go to salons includes cuts (of course), color, shaves, massage, waxing and shoe shines. These days manicure and pedicure has also become popular among men.
Most men naturally have dry cuticles, calluses, dry skin and rough hands. They want softened cuticles, a relaxing massage, and clean polished nails. A men’s sport pedicure usually consists of a refreshing and nourishing foot soak, file, and cuticle care, heal filing and a revitalizing foot massage.
If you want to avoid going to a salon for a pedicure You can do it at home itself. Below are a few pedicure tips to help get you good feet:
• Prepare a foot bath with warm water. Add a teaspoon of antiseptic foot bath. This will fight fungal infections. It also conditions and soothes tired feet. Soak feet for 5 to 10 minutes in the warm water.
• Spray the foot with an antiseptic foot spray. This will deodorize and refresh feet as it fights irritating fungal bacterial infections. Don’t forget to spray it between your toes.
• Clean the nails with a nail filer.
• Squeeze a small amount of exfoliating lotion into your palm and apply to the foot. Pay close attention to heavily-calloused areas. Use firm strokes of the hand or a loofah disc for application. An exfoliating lotion will rub away rough, dry skin cells, leaving feet smooth and helping to boost circulation.
• Place feet in bath once more and rinse.
• You can use a two-sided Pedi file to smooth away calluses. Be careful not to completely remove them, because calluses are the foot’s natural protection. You only need to soften them.
• Rinse the feet and towel dry.
• Massage feet and legs with a moisturizing lotion
• It’s a good idea to sprinkle on a deodorizing foot powder to keep feet odor-free and dry.
Pedicure helps relieve the stress of your tired feet. An invigorating calf and foot massage will stimulate circulation that will bring you a new found energy. Manicures and pedicures for men are a hygienic procedure and have them done for their practical and professional aspects. Men gain more confidence by taking better care of them selves.

The summer can play havoc with the skin; it is especially harsh for men as their skin is 20 percent oilier than women’s and has significantly larger pores. Taking care of it during summer need not be a tedious duty. Just follow a few simple steps for a stunning, healthy-looking skin.
Cleansing is the first and most important step to control the excessive oil in the skin. Use natural cleansing products that are all natural and chemical free and avoid using deodorant soaps on your face at all cost. These soaps comprise of harsh ingredients that irritate the skin and clog pores. These blocked pores then nearly always lead to blemishes and infections.
Exfoliation is the next step for flawless, glowing skin. A good scrubbing removes the dead cells and smooth the skin’s surface. A good choice for a summer scrub would be a product with Jojoba beads, these provide immediate results and are gentle on the pores.
Toning is essential for guys who spend more time outdoors during the summer. This constant interaction with the outdoors with its pollutants and harsh sun rays has a deadly impact on your skin’s ability to remain elastic. Toning in such cases helps keep your face clear and firm, toners with glycolic or alpha hydroxyl acids work best for the summer skin. Toning also helps reduce pore size and is a handy remedy for ingrown hairs, which can be unpleasant in hot weather.
Miniaturization is another crucial aspect of summer skin care. It is very important to hydrate the entire surface of your skin, especially the sensitive under-eye areas so that your skin can tolerate the sun. Try using a light moisturizer, if your skin is excessively oily try a gel based moisturizer.
Sunscreen this step is the holy grail of summer skin care, 90 percent of premature aging of the skin is caused by overexposure to the sun which is also a leading cause of skin cancer. So guys like it or not you have to protect your skin at all costs. Apply sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or greater at least 30 minutes before sun you step into the sun every time without fail.

Exposure to sunlight is part of your life. But sometimes, the sun exposure can be dangerous, even deadly. Children are more susceptible to the harmful effects of sun’s rays as compared to adults. So how should you protect you and your family from the harmful Ultraviolet rays? The solution is a one-word answer- sunscreen. Here raises a query- can you protect yourself and your kids with the same sunscreen? The answer is a big YES! How? With some guidelines, you can use the same sunscreen for your whole family. Read on to know more.
Chemical-free sun screen: Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide sun blocks are chemical-free protection for your children. Hence, look for easy-to-apply sun screen lotions and creams so that your kids don’t have to look like ghosts on the beach! Moreover, these sun products are less likely to cause skin irritation or allergic reactions.
Spray or lotions? You should check the ingredients of the sun protection product, rather than the form in which it is sold. Both the forms will do, the only thing to keep in mind is that the sun protection product doesn’t cause irritation to sensitive areas of your kids such as nose, ears and unexposed skin.
The brand: Be choosy about the sun screen brands. Always look for a good quality sunscreen product for your kids. Try out a new product by applying it on a small area of sensitive skin and check whether it causes rashes in the skin. If no rashes, then it is safe for the skin.

Do you ever get bumps on your face after a shave\? You must have missed one or two ingrown hairs while shaving. Prevent them curling around your facial skin.
Dump your electric shaver: Electric shavers have minimal contact with the skin and therefore there is less likely to remove the dead skin cells which lead to the development of ingrown hairs.
Wet shave: Shave after or right in your shower. The steam opens the pores and the dead skin will be easily removed.
Creamy shave: Use your shaving cream liberally. Don’t apply shaving gel or foam.
Smart shave: Have a close shave to remove the dead skin. However, don’t do it too closer which causes irritation and ingrown hairs.
Keep your face relaxed during shave: Don’t stiff the facial muscles.
Treatment: Cleanse the area of ingrown hair bump by rubbing alcohol.
Aftershave: Once you have treated the ingrown hair, use an aftershave to close the pores and heal the skin.
