Comments choosing the right hair color

Whenever you think about lifting your looks and your spirit, nothing compares to getting yourself a new hair color as it is an in thing these days. It’s a norm seeing people with their hair colored in funky styles. Some look fascinating and attractive while you may find certain people who look all the more weird and scary with the wrong hair color. So, it is very essential for you to pick the right shade that goes with your skin tone so as to make you look better and not worse than your normal appearance. Stick to the right colors and figure out if you are best off with all-over color or highlights and then decide if you are going to pay someone else to do it or you’ll do it yourself.
If you want to try a new color look but you are not able to make up your mind, its better you go for temporary colors that last for say around eight to nine shampoos. You can try funky highlights that can be rectified overnight with another color as long as you use the wash in and wash out types that don’t last. If you wish to play with your hair color over a weekend party, then avoid the permanent sorts and then try to reverse it in less than several weeks. But be very careful with the colors and don’t put a new one on newly dyed hair, as this may make your hair straw and destroy its natural texture.
While making your decision about the right hair color, taking your skin tone under consideration is very important. If you have a sallow skin with yellow undertones, then deep golds aren’t for you. If your skin has pinkish effect then its better to avoid any kind of strawberry shades as it may make you look scary. In short, choose a color not more than a couple of shades lighter than your skin tone. If you wish to make your hair darker, and you are pale, then be careful with the super dark tones as it may make you look ghostly and older. If you have blonde hair, avoid going more than couple of shades darker initially.
Now the question comes, what will suit you well- coloring your hair completely or just going for highlights. For this, you have to take under consideration the length of your hair. People with short hair look good with hair completely colored, while the ones with medium length or long hair will look flattering with a couple of highlights around the face. You can ask you stylist to try four to five different shades of highlights and choose the best out of it.
Pick the right option and get attractive hair!
