Men’s toiletry kit is no more limited to only shaving cream, deodorant and toothpaste. It also contains oil-absorbing face powder and brow gel. Men are spending more time on grooming. Facials, manicures, pedicures, and serums are no longer limited to women, as men realize the importance of paying more attention to personal beauty.
Make-up for men isn’t about looking like a drag queen, with deep red lips and kohl-lined eyes. It is all about finding the right made-for-men products and using them to put your best face forward. It is also about highlighting your existing features, applying hand cream and lip balm and the clever use of concealor to disguise under-eye bags and puffiness and grooming the eyebrows.
There are a variety of masculine beauty products including bronzer and face masks available in mega stores out of which the make up products from Ken, Jean Paul Gaultier, Clinique have become a common part of the male grooming.
KenMen offers a line of products including tints, body and face highlighter and skin correcting sticks known as concealer. KenMen is also known for the best-selling bronzer.
Wearing make up (unless you look feminine!) won’t compromise your masculinity.

We have talked a lot about improving your physique and becoming more manly. In this article, we take up the case of grooming. Read on to get the grooming schedule for you.
Scrub your face the night before shaving: A lot of men don’t know that shaving actually exfoliates the skin. Hence, they use facial scrubs right before they shave. We say that it is better to use a scrub the night prior to shaving. This will avoid the extra exasperation of your skin.
Shave 10 minutes after waking up: When you wake up, you will notice that your face is puffy. This is due to the build up of fluid overnight. So, leave it 10 minutes to settle so that you will have a smoother surface to work with.
Apply your cologne before you moisturize: Apply your cologne to your skin first. Wait for a few minutes and then apply the moisturizer. This will ensure that your fragrance lasts longer and leaves you smelling fresh all day long.
Style your hair before it’s dry: The best time to apply hair gel is when your hair is damp. However, hair that is too wet will dilute your product making it looking horrible. If the gel is applied on too dry hair, you will look like you got out bed on the wrong side! So, towel dry your hair and wait for 10 minutes before applying the hair gel.
Treat a spot before bed: Got a blemish? Apply your cream or treatment before bed. This gives it time to go to work without the skin having to deal with pollution and sun exposure.
Use an anti-aging cream at night: It sounds girlish but, you should never miss this out. This is because the skin switches to repair mode at night, which makes it the best time to reverse skin damage. We all will grow older one day. So don’t ignore the use of an anti-aging cream at night.

Blackhead is a blackish bump on the skin caused mainly due to oily skin mixed with pollution, grim and dirt. There are many ways for blackhead removal. So of the common remedies are enlisted in this article. Read on.
Aloe Vera:
Aloe Vera helps reduce the appearance of blackheads and scars. Aloe Vera is widely available in the market in the form of gel. Massage the aloe vera gel gently into your skin. Wait until it dries and then wash it off with cold water.
Creams:
Look for creams containing Alpha Hydoxy Fruit (AHA) acids like glycol-creams, that can effectively remove dead skin cells and expose the blackhead. The cream containing AHA should be used once in every 3 days.
Exfoliate:
One of the best ways to remove blackheads is exfoliation. Facial exfoliators and scrubs are available in the market. Scrub the blackhead prone area 3-4 times a week using the exfoliator. When you are using an exfoliator, avoid washing your face with soaps. Instead, wash you face with splashes of plain water or use a mild cleanser.
Home remedies:
• Cleanse your face with fresh milk and gently rub a coarse cloth dipped in milk. Now, steam your face with lemon peel, mint leaves or lavender. This home remedy will effectively remove blackheads.
• Make a paste out of water and cornstarch. Apply the paste until it turns completely white, that looks like a mask. Now, remove the mask by thoroughly washing your face with plain water. This home remedy is a great cure for blackheads since it dries out the zits and exfoliates your skin when you wash it off.
• Blend or mash two to three chunks of papaya (each 1 inch sized) and put it in the freezer. Apply the paste on face and leave it for 10-20 minutes. Wash it off using plain water. Repeat this process twice or thrice a week. This is a great home remedy for the removal of blackheads because papaya breaks down dead skin cells in order to give a lovely glow. It also clears out the pores which in turn shrink.

Crooked teeth are definitely a problem for self-image and good looks. Many people are forced to face this problem on a daily basis. After all, who would like to have a tight-lipped smile!
Thanks to modern technology that has effective solutions for straightening of crooked teeth. One such technique that runs through our mind is the use of braces. Dentists use this technique by which force is applied to the crooked teeth to shift them into the right place by putting pressure on them.
Ceramics, plastics or metals are used to make braces. The wires that make this device are made tighter once a month so that the crooked teeth come in the desired position.
Ceramic braces are considered to be the best option because they are less visible, as compared to metal and plastic braces. This is because the brackets are applied directly to the front teeth by means of special glue.
The straightening process of crooked teeth doesn’t end with the use of braces. After the braces are removed, you will have to wear a retainer for sometime so that the crooked teeth don’t get back to the initial incorrect position.
Another thing that needs mention is the possibility of tooth extraction. Sometimes the orthodontist feels that it is necessary to remove a tooth to make room for the straightened teeth. The use of braces may seem to be complicated, and painful. Moreover, there are chances of teeth discoloration due to the use of braces.
An alternative to braces is the use of removable aligners. This technique is called as Invisalign by which the teeth are squeezed and are forced to get into their correct position. This technique is a bit expensive than braces. Orthodontists recommend this technique only for mild cases of crooked teeth.
There are even more advanced and expensive techniques to straighten crooked teeth. These techniques are complex as well, because they involve a lot more stress at the teeth and tongue level.
So in order to get the perfect smile you are looking for, consult an orthodontic who will give you the guidance about the crooked teeth straightening technique that is best suited for you.

Skin is the largest organ in the body which reflects your general health. It is probably the most abused organ on the body. Various environmental factors, exposure to sun, dehydration and stress have adverse effects on the skin. So, you should take the measures to protect and re-vitalize your skin. In this article, we discuss about some common skin issues.
Wrinkles: Over-exposure of the skin to the sun is the major factor responsible for lines and wrinkles in the skin. The amount of stress, heredity, aging, hormones and environmental factors also contribute to the lines and wrinkles in the skin.
Exfoliation is the best way to lift the wrinkles and diminish the fine lines in your skin. This removes dead skin cells and stimulated new skin cell growth. Wear a sun screen of SPF 15 everyday.
Distended pores: Dead skin cells and sebum (oil) together form the debris which gets trapped in the pores resulting in the formation of black heads (distended pores). Facial cleansers with exfoliate are used to remove the distended pores.
The exfoliating substance is added in facial cleansers to open the pores so that the cleanser cleans out the pores. A skin toner followed by a moisturizer is then applied to tighten the skin and close the pores.
Skin blemishes: Over production of the natural oil (sebum) results in the formation of blemishes. Stress and hormonal changes can also be attributed to the formation of blemishes on your skin.
Glycolic acid or retinol is effective for unclogging skin pores. This ingredient is used in the treatments for skin blemishes. Benzyl peroxide, an anti-bacterial agent, can also be applied to treat the blemishes. Salicylic acid is also an effective exfoliate that dissolves the skin oil and reduces skin blemishes.
Redness in the skin: Rosacea or Redness initially appears on the nose, cheeks, chin and forehead. The mild redness then progresses to persistent redness. This is followed by dilated blood vessels and acne-like bumps.
Oral and topical antibiotics are generally prescribed by Dermatologists to treat redness in the skin. Treatments like Vbeam are also available.

Cosmetic surgery is the surgical procedure done to enhance the appearance. According to the latest survey, as many as 15 million individuals underwent cosmetic surgery in the year 2006. The number continues to flourish. Facelift, eyebrow lift, ear lift, facial implants, Blepharoplasty and Rhinoplasty are the most common surgical procedures. The main reason for so many individuals opting for cosmetic surgery is to boost self esteem.
Facelift:
The skin’s soft tissues lose their elasticity as we grow older. The skin thus becomes loose and sagging, showing deep lines. Facelift is equally preferred by both men and women who don’t want to look older and tired. This cosmetic surgery gives you a younger and vibrant look which in turn boosts your outlook.
Eyebrow lift:
If you want to highlight your eyelids and eyes, go for an eyebrow lift.
Neck lift:
Neck lift reduces the sagging and deep lines. This is usually done as a part of the facelift procedure.
Facial implant:
Facial implant is a stable cosmetic surgery that lasts for quiet a long time. Facial implant gives a balance to the face by creating the right proportion. If you want to make changes to your chin, go for chin implant. The sunken appearance of your face can be corrected through cheek implant. Your thin lips can be enhanced by a lip implant surgery.
Blepharoplasty:
You eyes may have a tired look by the excess drooping skin from your upper eyelids and the bagginess of your lower eyelids. This can be easily corrected. Opt for Blepharoplasty and see the difference!
Rhinoplasty:
Rhinoplasty is preferred by individuals who want to improve the shape of their nose by reshaping the nose through surgical means. Rhinoplasty straightens a crooked nose, lifts a small nose and also removes a bulbous nose tip.
