 Do you think that your appearance is extremely important for you to have an influence over the others? Well, some among us may disagree and think their qualities and communication skills is what matters and is indeed true but gentlemen, here’s an evaluation that will prove to be an eye opener for you. First of all, let me tell you that your appearance is absolutely an important feature when it comes to impressing anyone from your boss to your girlfriend or your client.
Alright now here’s a result of a scientific research about the human brain. It says that people who don’t know us make an impression about us within 30 seconds of them seeing us. Yes amusing it may sound but behavioral scientists also say that there’s an order in which unknown people make an impression about us which is as follows:
The skin, color, sex, age, height, body language, appearance, direct eye contact and the last position is occupied by your communication skills. And all of this happens within 30 seconds at a sub conscious level.
And 80% of people decide about the individual you are on the basis of your clothes. Thus my reason of telling all this to you is that we can employ this information to bring about certain changes in your style of dressing or ensure that our image is not buried in the dumps just because we’ve made a faux pas we are not even aware about.
Let’s have a look at some common ones!
If you are a professional and want to be known like one then please do not ever wear a short sleeve shirt with a tie. Until you aspire to be a fast food manager or you have to wear it as a part of your uniform, don’t even think of wearing it.
The shoes! These are one of the most evaluated parts of a man’s wardrobe. Nothing’s worse than a man in trousers wearing sports shoes beneath. Or a man in suit wearing floaters. Friends, every apparel needs to be worn with a specific style of shoe so please sift through a couple of good fashion magazines if you have no clue about it. You should only wear lace-up or buckle up shoes with dress pants or suits.
There are many more in the list but the space seems a bit constrained. So keep reading the entire series which I intend to dedicate to these common faux pas I usually see men making all the time!

 Gone are the days when fashion was known to be a luxury enjoyed only by women. Well it still is but changing times have also put men in the league, there by creating a separate space for them. We see men now a days being extremely cautious about how they look, what they wear and the style statement they make by doing so. However every season brings with it a new flavor but Fall is one of the most exciting period of the year as it brings with it loads of variety, style and color. So let’s see what this year’s autumn/fall collection has in store for us.
The first thing that you’ll see this season will be a leather jacket, either half-length, bomber-style, or three-quarter-length. Here let me tell you a full length jacket does not suit all men so make sure you try it first before investing in it. What you wear for the outer wear is what actually adds grace to your personality so your choice has be a real judicious one.
Brown is the color!
This season a brown leather jacket would be a premium recommendation. Nothing gives you a more distinct look than the brown jacket because at a time when most men lay emphasis on the very common black, this jacket will separate you from the other legions of men. Moreover the more these jackets age, the more graceful they look adding a vintage flair. There are however many shades of brown available but a sienna looks best with a majority of shades of shirts you often wear. For instance, brown looks great with jeans, sweaters, and even t-shirts available in winter colors.
If you have a fine sense of color and fabric, this can come in handy while buying fashion clothing for your self. . Always keep in mind your skin color, your body type and your lifestyle while indulging in the same. If you pick up something just because it is looking good to your eye or is expensive, you may end up making a terrible mistake. Knowing what do you want and where will you wear it, is important before you and pick anything from the store.
What’s new!
We also got to see a glimpse of what the next fall will have in store for us. Yes, I am talking about the Fall 2009. Browns however will continue to rein. Blues will step in so will shades of orange. Yes, this may seem to you as a surprise but orange is likely to make a surprising comeback in times to come.
So gear up for your this season’s shopping spree and have lots of eyes catching you in awe.

 Hats are more elaborate and larger than caps. They have a high crown, a brim, or both. There are hats specially meant for men while other hats are fashionable for both sexes. They are available in various shapes like round oval, regular oval and long oval.
Types of hats and caps:
Beret - A cap made from a variety of fabrics including corduroy wool, felt or other soft fabrics. A beret consists of a wide circular crown, which may or may not have a band. Often the Beret is referred to as a French Beret. Both men and women wear this type of hat.
Knitted caps/hats - For all men in winters, men’s knitted caps and hats are a must have item in their wardrobe. Knitted hats/caps are available in a range of knitted fabrics, colors, sizes and styles.
Stocking Cap - This is a type of ski or cold weather cap. By design it is a close-fitting woolen cap and may have a top that tapers to a point with or without a tassel. Stocking caps may also be designed to fit completely over the face with cutouts for eyes and mouth.
Greek Fisherman’s Cap - This cap is one of the most popular hats in the Western world. It can be made from a wide range of fabrics but is most often made of wool or cotton. This cap is often fully lined and is a favorite with professional seamen. This cap is very distinctive but is rugged and practical enough to handle all kinds of weather.
Cowboy Hat - Known also as a “ten gallon cap” they are hats with wide brims and soft crowns and made out a variety of fabrics. They also can be scaled bigger or smaller depending on the manufacturer. They are very popular in Texas and Arizona and other parts of the West and Southwest.
Ivy Cap - This type of cap is known by some as an English Driving Cap. The Ivy Cap can be traced back to 14th century England and has connections to the original French Bonnet.
Tams - These are woolen caps of Scottish origin which can also be made into knitted designs. They are sometimes worn by men who have dreadlocks.
There are hundreds of different types of hats that you can wear depending on the occasion .Hats and caps will accessorize your look. They will make you look stylish and elegant. Make them an important part of attire.

 Accessories are an important part of a men’s wardrobe too. It’s important to polish off your look with the right accessories. Dressing right and being updated with the latest fashion trends is an imperative if you want to be in vogue and feel like your most confident self. You don’t know what you are missing if you are arrogant about being fashion conscious.
It doesn’t matter where you are or what do you, being well dressed and looking good can never be something that’s too much to ask!
These accessories can add that touch of class you need:
Socks: The rule on socks is that they should match the color of your pants, though preferably not the exact same shades. Socks of dark colors should be preferably worn because whites look too stark.
Ties: Ties are the mainstay of men’s fashion. Tie. It is the most iconic fashion accessory.
So what is in style today? You could try a bow tie. Ties could be Designer ties, stripe ties, novelty ties, solid color tie. A solid-colored shirt with a tie of the same color is now a somewhat dated look. Try mixing things up a little and experiment with colors. Ties are great way to express yourself, but keeping it tasteful is your best bet. Just make sure your tie compliments your shirt.
You can pick up a plain dark blue or black tie for serious occasions, pick the one in color that suits you or you like for parties, and one with ‘silly’ pattern for some ‘special free ‘silly’ moments.
Cufflinks: In a way cuff links can be considered as timeless classics, since these miniature works of art actually predate the shirt. Cuff links may be worn with your choice of several cuff styles, and matched with a necktie, button cover, ascot, or bolo tie / bola tie. Choose cufflinks keeping the mood of the occasion in mind.
Watches: Watches are the single most important accessory a man can own. I really suggest investing in one good watch that suits your lifestyle and tastes .Platinum or stainless steel is perhaps some of the most attractive men’s wrist watches today.
Belts: Belt is one accessory that can make or break the entire ensemble. Go with the basics for work wear. But when you’re partying there are no rules. Whatever your inner devil wants is fine.
Sunglasses: Sunglasses come in many different shades, shapes, and styles these days that it can be hard to choose though. Plastic frame looks more eye-catching so you’ll gain more attention; besides it appears more masculine. Choose the frame that suits your image.
Smelling great will be the perfect end to a dressing ritual. Make the effort to use the same brand of after-shave, cologne, and eau de perfume. This way your fragrance lasts longer.
Its one of the greatest pleasures to dress yourself and look your best. Looking good can make a very real difference to your life.

 Prison Break star Wentworth Miller wearing a white long sleeves dress shirt which he decided to roll up and cuff for about 3/4 sleeves, light wash denim jeans and THE athletic shoes to have, the classic blue Chuck Taylor’s look jus kills all girls with this.
I think it’s a matter of preference these days. It may be a kind of the skinny over wide neckties issue. While George Clooney prefers his wide necktie, David Beckham and Justin Timberlake have no problems rocking their skinny ties. Whatever you’re feeling to wear in a given day you can choose.
1. Choose plain jeans with no embellishments, holes in the legs or stitching on the pockets. Miller likes Gap jeans, so visit a Gap store (see Additional Resources) and check out jeans in the following fits: standard, boot, relaxed, easy and loose.
2. Stock up on T-shirts. Miller is known for wearing out-of-the-ordinary T-shirts
3. Know how to pull together a casual look like Wentworth Miller. Here’s how he does it: T-shirt, open button down shirt or hooded sweatshirt, then jacket .Pants are plain, with no accoutrements such as wallet chains, and shoes are Chuck Taylor’s by Converse.
4. Acquire Wentworth Miller’s “dressy” casual-style pants. When he doesn’t wear jeans, he’ll usually wear a pair of flat front khakis from Gap or Abercrombie and Fitch. He loves to be all about khaki and neutrals with occasional hints of sporty color - and it seems as though they are going back to that aesthetic.

Actor Wentworth Miller dresses as the “All American Guy.” He favors jeans, T-shirts and a pair of well-worn Converse rather than Gucci suits, Versace ties and Prada shoes. If you want to get style like Wentworth Miller, you don’t need to get clothes from expensive Beverly Hills boutiques. Most of the stores Miller frequents to create his style are in just about every mall around the country.

 Men are no different than women when it comes to what they wear. They fancy themselves Johnny Depp and wear a porkpie hat with a goatee or they see the Abercrombie and Fitch boys and starve themselves until they can wear a t-shirt with some faded pattern of something on it that makes their upper bodies look concave.
Trying to find a color that works for your skin tone isn’t the easiest thing in the world. Here are some quick tips to help you choose:
1. Fair Skin - If you are a blond or a redhead, you need to stick with dark colors. Your pale skin looks even worse when paired with white. Go with navy, blues, basic black or a sage green.
2. Sallow Skin - If you look a bit yellow or green, you definitely need to avoid wearing these colors. A yellow shirt will just make you look like a giant banana. Go with whites, blues and black.
3. Darker Skin - You have it made. Pretty much all colors work for you. Stay away from dark browns or dull colors that don’t highlight your gorgeous color.
Now, let’s move onto eye color and what will highlight your features:
4. Blue Eyes - If you want to bring out your baby blues, you’ve got to wear blue. Look for shirts that match the color of your eyes. This will really make them more noticeable.
5. Brown Eyes with Red Tones - If you have dark brown eyes that have flecks or stripes of red, you need to go with warm tones to highlight them. Stick with oranges, reds or yellows.
6. Brown Eyes with Green Tones - If you have a hint of green in your eyes, you’ll want to bring it out. Purple, especially plum, is the ideal color to do this. You’ll be amazed at how green your eyes look.
7. Green or Hazel Eyes - These eyes can get lost in a color shuffle. If they are green, wear similar green colors to draw attention to them. Hazel is a little more difficult. Pick the color you want to draw out the most - for blue, wear blue, for green, wear green.
Many people wear clothes because they like it without even knowing the brand. Some rock a shirt because it’s a masterpiece of a friend and they want to show support. There are exceptions to every rule and we can argue about each of these forever. But the bottom line is this; don’t walk around like a billboard.

 Belts and ties are essential accessories in any man’s wardrobe. In fact you can easily end up spending more on ties than any other part of your wardrobe. The main reason behind this is that quality ties are expensive, and you often wind up buying them on whim. It is essential that you become skilled at how to choose perfect ties. This will not only help you to curb your expenditure but also facilitate you in buying ties that will make you look great.
The best and perfect ties convey your personality and professionalism at the same time. As such, they should balance between style and expression. Here are a few rules to be kept in mind while looking for that perfect tie for your wardrobe.

Lastly, there’s no point choosing a suitable tie if you tie it badly. The two most common mistakes that can ruin the look of a perfect tie are making the knot too big, or tying the tie too short. It should be long enough to just go over the top of your belt, and if you’re in hurry, longer is better than shorter.

 Compared to Women’s Clothing , Men’s clothing can be quite monotonous. I mean really its quiet difficult to express your individuality or taste with the limited selections of colors& fabrics available to men, whereas women have a large variety of colors and designs to choose from. Just look at the choice you girls have in day and evening wear but with us guys the choice is nearly always suits, which more or less always look the same. Sure a well tailored suit makes its own fashion statement but invariably in muted tones. Sometimes I wish I could make a tasteful but bold statement, but somehow a red, yellow or orange suit doesn’t exactly come out as tasteful.
But fortunately now a days with men’s fashion clothing coming of age there seems to be a greater assortment with more bright and colorful options available. Strong, bold, primary colors of outdoor clothing’s are a great way to impress the girls and if you want to attract the hippie crowd you could try wearing subdued earth tones, tan sandals, and cargo shorts. In evening also there seems to be a variety of fashionable jackets, waistcoats and shirts. Remember now days women love men who experiment with their clothes and such may it be the hip- hop, outdoors or elegant evening wears.
However to my surprise there has also been a revival of the old boring styles of T-shirts dressed up with tedious logos. Maybe the blame lies with the belligerent advertising campaigns by Old Navy and The Gap (they seem to mistake boring with sophistication). But if you are into this kind of men’s fashion clothing instead of the expensive branded stores it would be better if you just buy a bunch of T-shirts at the local JC Penney, so be careful which type of men’s fashion store you step into.
Formal wear is still the true forte of men’s fashion clothing. This is the area where classic designs will never fade; they make a definite style statement even though there is not a lot of selection. You can’t beat the feel and look of a well cut suit it adds an élan to the wearer, a look of unbeatable elegance. The suit not only gives you confidence but also attracts respect of your peers and the ladies just love the suave look.

 Wandering around the streets of Texas or other southern states is like taking a trip through your favorite Westerner movie, you get to see the latest western fashion. Strapping cowboys and gorgeous cowgirls in leather boots, blue jeans and ten-gallon hats are the fashion norm in these southern cities. But if you’re not from Texas or these southern cities but absolutely adore cowboy fashion you can still indulge in them quite easily with a few additions to your existing wardrobe.
Now the most important item for cowboy western wear is the blue denim jeans. Since all of us have at least a half a dozen of these already it should be no problem. But you must make sure that the jeans are dark blue with the ever so important back pockets. They also need to fit you like a glove so that they can fit into or over the cowboy boots.
Boots are another extremely significant item without which an American western outfit would not be complete. Jeans are usually worn over the boots by cowboys; women though have a choice of wearing them over the jeans as well. The design on the boot needs careful deliberation, especially for women: to add that touch of authenticity. A pretty large variety of boots can be found in western wear stores, or they can be custom made, which contrary to popular belief do not cost an arm and leg. In fact you can get a pair of great cowboy boots for a fraction of a cost, made to your taste and fit.
The shirt though often ignored is quite critical to balance the rest of the outfit. The traditional look would be a plaid shirt with the perfect fit, the color is not really that important but the fit is imperative. Make sure the shirt is tucked in to show the belt buckle with a couple of buttons off on the top (in my opinion for both men and Women)
The last but not the least is the belt & hat, both these accessories enhance and complete the American western look. The belt should be of leather and must have a buckle to further add to the bona fide cowboy look. The buckle also ought to have a traditional cowboy western theme, say an eagle or bull, and make sure it’s big enough to show off.
The hat is the crowning glory for a cowboy, one he is not willing to part with even in death; in fact many old western tales swear that cowboys were often buried with their hat and gun. The hat also can be tricky in terms of size; it should not be too big or too small or you will end up looking cartoonish. For a good fit ask the western wear store measure your head in order to select the perfect fit.
