Though it is great to pay attention to which shades suit you and which shade pairs best with another one, it is also great fun to try and understand the associations that each color you choose to wear has. Maybe you can then express your personality in shades that are associated with your particular traits.
 
Red

Red, like I said before, is synonymous to passion, attention and dominance. If you add a dash of red in your wardrobe, you will feel energetic, happy but make sure it’s a cooler day otherwise it can trigger anger as well!

A man who sports black implies confidence, authority, sophistication and class. If you combine black with the right shades and wear it properly, it can also look austere and simple.

Spotless white, when worn, implies that the person wearing it has a high social status. White clothing is a sign of virtue and can give you an extremely clean appearance.

It has both energetic and calming qualities and also projects a man who is secure in his sense of self and is not afraid to experiment with what is perceived as a feminine color.

Blue, again a very popular color in men’s fashion, implies that the person wearing it is a warm and honest person. It can also convey that the guy is someone who is serious and intelligent.

A dash of yellow to your outfit can cheer up your look.

Colors like burgundy also convey a sense of status and high class.
 
Earthy Colors

Earthy colors like green and brown look terrific on men, especially in the winters.
