One accessory modern men agree would be a great fashion addition is caps, hats and headwear. Some men love to wear hats to be fashionable while others wear it as functional or for some practical reasons like to block out sun, wind and cold. Popular hat styles include the old standby - the baseball cap –the knit cap- the cowboy hat or the dressier headwear like the newsboy.
The knit cap : knit cap is one of the essential style elements this fall, and while we hadn’t yet pegged this as a major fall trend. It is, after all, practical, inexpensive and simple to wear. Some guys could look super fly in a knit hat, while others might just look like huntsman.
Ivy Cap : This type of cap is known by some as an English Driving Cap. The Ivy Cap has links to the original French Bonnet. The caps were worn by working class men in Britain. It was made with more expensive cloth and was worn by upper-class English men. This driver style cap is always appropriate on a cold and frosty day. You can easily pair it with a thick sweater or an overcoat. It has no edge to worry as the fabric is durable.
Woolen hats : Woolly hats are excellent for keeping you warm in winter. They’re functional first and fashionable second; Caps can be cool too, for keeping the sun out of your eyes and wearing down on the beach. They make you look hot and handsome.
Beret : A cap made from a variety of fabrics including cordouroy wool, and other soft fabrics. A beret may or may not have a band. Often the Beret is referred to as a French Beret. Both men and women wear this type of cap and it can be worn in a variety of positions on the head although some people choose to wear it slightly at an angle.
Baseball Cap : This is a comfy and close fitting cap. The front of the baseball cap is referred to as a “visor” and is designed to shade the eyes from the sun like a canopy. Baseball caps come in every imaginable material, design and size and a wide range of cap designs from rounded to square. They are very famous among Hollywood stars.
